About the MBTI®

Insight for Growth consultant Reni Bumpas is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®).

Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)

A certified MBTI® facilitator, Reni first became acquainted with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® while studying Educational Psychology at Mississippi State University (MSU), where she graduated in 1988. Learning the theory in the classroom and practically through leadership as a Resident Assistant, Reni saw first-hand how she and others who understood their types were able to use that knowledge to build on their preferences to complement one another in team building.

After completing her education at MSU, Reni spent four years working in Student Affairs and Housing at Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. While there, she co-taught the leadership class for RAs and students involved in ASG (Associated Student Government). An integral part of the course was assisting in administering and teaching the MBTI®. Reni found it rewarding to be part of the process of seeing the lightbulb go off in the students’ heads as they saw their preferences reflected in the MBTI Types. Even greater was seeing students putting that knowledge to use in their own lives and as they worked together.

As Executive Director of Life Choices Medical Clinic, Reni utilized her knowledge of MBTI® for staff and board development.

As French Camp Academy Life Coach Coordinator, Reni has facilitated MBTI® workshops for the majority of the staff as part of their FCA Life Coach training.
